...how to join the chip war and what times they start?

And any idea how to tell which race is controlling the core atm?

Get to level 25 and you'll get the CW quests when the CW starts.

I'd also like to know if there's any way to see which race has the mine.

I just hit 26 and I haven't had any notice so far about CW (that I can tell at least)...guess I haven't been on when they started. :-(

Maybe I'm missing it somehow...so a window just pops up when a CW starts? Where do you go after that?

The Chip War takes place in Crag Mine Field. If you're playing Cora, you can go there with the portals in the HQ and Haram.

The wars are every 8 hours, if you log on when the war is on, you will get the quests, too, just like you do if you're on when it starts.

I think I got the quest...there were three objectives listed with a "0/1" at the end of each. Is that the one?

If so, I'm just not sure where exactly to go now in the mines. :-(

Yes, that's the quest. It might not be much of a quest, but it gives three objectives. Defend your race's chip, and take the others'.

I think Crag Mine Field is the third option at the HQ portal. Just follow the stream of people onec you get there, you can't miss it.
