how does the gold work?

so this has probably been answered somehwere but i havn't seen it so my question is how does the gold work and how do you get negative gold?

hi..

i have yet to experience negative gold (played for close to 2 months already)..

anyway, to answer your Q.. each of the three races have their local currencies (in RFOph, talents for bellato, decena for cora, and cp for accretia).. these are used to transact with the NPCs.. now gold is the universal currency, the exchange value of which is determined by your race's economy.. the tax rate (think inflation) has a bearing on local prices at NPCs (potions, items, MAU repairs, etc).. soooo.. the more "gold reserves" your race has as a whole, the lower the tax rate, the better your economy, the cheaper everything is! capice? :rofl:

gold is also used to transact with the other races via some sort of inter-racial auction NPC..

you get negative gold by that gambling item (random zen inc. -150 to 150) which resulted in me also getting negative gold :P

the stupid zenny increase thingies i used like 4 and i got very very unlucky with like lots of big minus golds lol but its ok i've posted my way back up haha im almost positive again!
