Healing vs Pots

Hi,

I read on the official forums that RFO is a bit of a Pot spam and that there are very few healing spells.

Is this true and what race/classes get healing abilities? (And at what level?)

How do they compare with the pots?

I played a 60 priest in WoW and so I'm just wondering how it works in RFO...

Well unlike WoW there isn't a real healer class, there are some options for Bellato (class) and Cora (Summon) but from my experience pot's is the way to go. Don't get me wrong if you are a healer class people still gladly invite you.
And yes there a few healing spells, not much. But in WoW there weren't many healing spells too, Small heal, great heal and a group heal. :)

In WoW there were Small Heal, Medium Heal, Great Heal, Group Heal, DoT Heal and even AoE Heal and these were only the heals for the priest, not to mention that there were combinations of these that other classes had. I played the "open" beta for 2 days and i have to say that it`s ok the way it is. At the beginning it might be a lil bit strange to spam heal pots but ull get used to it. While it for me disturbs the whole atmosphere in a fantasy game a lil it also would cause problems with the exp system as far as i know.

Some heals I never used. I was using low cast mana spells only( good timing) Flash Heals.. :-)
There are less heals in RF tho.
Just don't expect in this game that the priests are such a important factor as in WoW, like I said earlier everyone want you in your party as a healer, but pot's just play alot alot more importance in this game compared to WoW. And a plus point: the pot's aren't that expensive in RF. So it's easy to take a big stack and go leveling.

Ooh, Thanks for the replies guys.

I think I itend to play a warrior in RFO anyway.
Sick of being the primary target in PvP because I can heal, and the whole glass cannon mentality of mages doesnt suit me either...

One last question, are the pots on some sort of cooldown or is the pot spamming diablo-esque?

1-2 sec delay or equip different kinds of pots in 1 skill belt ^^. [i.e. 200, 500, 1000,2000] haven't tried that yet, I think it works.
