Accretia Specialist->Engineer Tips?

I got a bit tired of my Ranger, now I want to start Specialist. There are few questions:
1. What weapon/gear Specialist should use.
2. I got simple crafting devices, but there are only noob recipes, where do next item recipes come from?
3. Is there any batch rpcessing when crafting or I should just make macro?
4. Any special tips that I can't even imagine? :huh:

All skills area relatively weak. I think main skill is launcher. You can craft basic recipt from beginning, after your PT advance, you will have more recipt.

Then is there any real point to level up Specialist? Any bonuses or any 1lvl char can craft the same that 40lvl?
Whats the point?
