Well I am guessing that your father got sent that in some fashion of a spam/forwarded mail, I would look at the rest of the site before giving him too much credit. He is a terrible person that likes to perpetuate hate. If you really want to see some irrational people check out the commentaries under the articles.
It's sad that people feel this way, but it is our first amendment in America, and if it also allows me to say what I feel then so be it. But, please try to see things without hate.
America while very tolerant in some places also has a lot of hate that it has yet to work through. Being a melting pot has a lot of interesting things about, but it also produces a lot of hate as people struggle to cling to a social identity. I think in another hundred years, if we can last that long, the US will start to develop a better idea of itself and perhaps lose a lot of the hate that is just under the surface right now.
