could u please tell me the php version? or the newbb module version?
im having some trouble with xoops after an php upgrade(the search function wasnt working right, displayed wrong sintaxes)
mysql extension not loaded in file class/database/mysqldatabase.php line 74

ok , the fix is (it works for me) include once newbb/language/main.php in newbb/include/search.inc.php
