How to maximize the DL of the Torrent?

Any tips or suggestions would be welcome. I am using Bittornado and getting 2-4kbs/s. Hopefully once I get more of the file complete the speeds will pick up.

If anyone knows a ftp site please post :-D

Well I use bitcomet, and I usually get around 90+kb/sec. But it might also be a problem with your comp or a slow internet connection.

..or it may be a problem with how much I have complete (1.1%) I am on cable internet so I doubt it's my connection.

It has picked up to 6-8kbs./s thought so things are looking good.

as do most torrents give it 10-15 minutes, if that doesnt work then either A.) Not enough peers/seeds or B.) your port is not free and needs to be unblocked in Firewall or also through NAT from router

also check your upload rate. When I have my share rate at like 4kbs, then my dl is capped at 8kb. If I set it for unlimited, then my download usually gets done as well.

PREY its not your router/NAT. That stuff is such a damn headache to sort out you need a Degree in IT/Networking.

(im talking about if your IP isnt static).
