Simple Upgrading guide

----------------------------------------------------------
UPGRADING YOUR EQUIPMENT
----------------------------------------------------------

First, anyone can use an upgrader its just easier for a Specialist since they already have most the items.
Second, you will need a minimum of 3 items:
-------One, an UPGRADER bought from any "Sundries".
-------Two, a piece of EQUIPMENT (armor or weapon) with at least one empty slot in its description.
-------Three, a Talic that matches your equipment in its description.
--------------*Jewels can also be used but not required.

Each upgrader has 6 slots divided into 3 sections:
-------Section 1 is the center square for holding the equipment being upgraded.
-------Section 2 is the top slot for holding a Talic, which gives the special ability.
--------------Talics are randomly given after processing ore (any color or quality) and drops from mobs in Anaacade & Mining zone.
--------------Talic abilities also stack, so combining 2-10% HP absorb talics each would stack for 20% HP absorb.
-------Section 3 is the remaining 4 slots for 4 different types of jewels (gems/jade/crystal/etc.).
--------------Jewels are randomly given after processing ore (any color or quality) and drops from mobs in Anaacade & Mining zone.
--------------Each jewel gives one of 3 (slightly, moderately, greatly) different % chances to succeed in upgrading.

After a successful upgrade you may repeat until all of the slots in the equipment are filled. If the upgrade fails...the Talic and Jewels you combined will dissapear, plus your equipment depending on the number of upgrades it had. Normal equipment can be safely upgraded 4 times, which means you only loose the Talic and Jewels but not the equipment or any previous successful upgrades, but after the 5th upgrade you risk the chance of breaking and losing all previous upgrades upon a failed upgrade.

Notes:
-Intense & Purple items risk the chance of breaking even on the 1st talic upgrade.
-In the giga final update there will be a chance to craft Intense weapon and armors.
-Talics/Gems-the greater the amount of ore processed, the greater the possible amount of gems and talics.
-From the notes I gather from other websites, fansites and forums it seems most Talics & Jewels auction for 1 mil each so thats how I figure my loss. With each attempt to upgrade I check what the merchants are offering for the equipment add 1 mil for the Talic (minimum), plus another mil for each Jewel added for higher success.

Best Success:
Combined 32 lvl "__________" with ______ Talic (with +10% to crits) and 4 greatly % Jewels. Third upgrade attempt first success!!!

Worst Failure:
Attempted 4 more upgrades with above success, even with 6 upgrades still available, I lost 4 Talics and 3 Jewels per.

you only loose the talics in SI weapons after its first success
so +2,+3,+4 are the chances that you'll loose the talics
safe is +1, by experience XD

Could someone explain upgrading to me? Before I got kicked out of rfO ph, i was in the middle of trying to upgrade some of my gear. I had half the little slots filled with crystals and talics, but I really had no idea what I was doing. Could someone explain the system to me, and what an item upgrade does exactly?

Ok first let's start off with talics. Talics are only obtainable from refining ore (Doesnt' matter what kind). Each talic gives special abilities to the item you are adding. What is cool about talics is that they stack.. (ie: 5% stun --> 10% --> etc)

Crystals/gems are only obtainable from refining ore too. There are 4 crystals/gems in the game. They each give the item you are upgrading a better chance to succeed. If the item succeeds or fails, all the crystals/gems/talic you had in there will dissapear. You can assume that the more talics you have in a certain weapon the harder the next talic upgrade will be..

also im almost positive that if you have a lvl 35 weapon and put a talic in it, it has a red flame around it (like the weps in the desert)
