So how does it work in RFO? Anything like L2? Flag system, Clan Vs Clan, Seiges, PK...I haven't heard much about the PvP.

Totally open.

You see an oposing race, you can attack them simple as that. No penalties for dieing, benefits for killing.

It keeps track of your pvps via a scoring method (dunno how it works, its foreign remember) and i dont know what it effects yet either.

Is combat similiar to L2? I like L2's fast-paced combat...constantly in motion (don't know how to explain it), not turn-based and slow like other mmorpgs.

Its a much larger scale than L2, the PvP is nearly always group VS group because people arent suicidal enough to wander alone.

Back in the Korean Beta people used to travel in literally convoys. Low levels would wait at the portal for high levels to show up, the High levels would lead the front and the back of the line in thier mechs and everyone else between them.

Very cool indeed seeing such large scale teamwork

Aye, but that's Asian... for example, when Japanese Beta for L2 came out, they were the nicest community, and even lined up for quest monsters. I doubt there'll be as much teamwork once it hits NA shelves, especially with the amount of New Yorkers

Yeah, that's the thing I hate about NA mmorpg gamers' mentality. They don't do teamwork very well and are more worried about personal gain (I suffer from this sometimes).

L2 is a game all about helping each other achieve goals as a clan/alliance...but all it takes is one or two people to F it all up, by being selfish.

I guess since you have your factions already decided for you (in RFO), your enemies are already there. Probably make the environment alot different than L2 just because of this.

To be honest, I'm more interested in playing an asian game on asian servers then the actual game itself ^_^...just to experience the different style gameplay.

North American PvP will never be the same as Korean. Korean's co-operate together and aren't selfish. That is something most North Americans can't do.

its not so much north americans, its just that alot of us live in this same area that have that mentality, but other parts of the world have it too, its just that we have a more concentrated number of them.
