Beginner Tips?

Ok, I'm in! The world is sweet ^_^ everything looks and sounds amazing! Only problem...what do I do? o_O I went out, killed some stuff, found a lot of weapon drops and some money.

One of the guns looks neat, but I guess I have the wrong ammo for it?

Any tips/hints as Accretia would be helpful.

BTW, don't go the middle porter thing...I went to hunt the Zerg looking things and get WTFPWN'd.

Ok....

Each type of gun usually requires a different kind of ammo. Theres 3 main types of ammo...

Grey Clips : You started with this ammo type.
3 Gold Cartridges : You can buy this from the weapon shop
3 Blue Plasma Tubes : Same as above

Its just trail and error as to which your particular gun needs.


As for where to hunt:

Ignore the portals those are for higher levels, Level1-30? You are fine on the map the town is located on. When you think its getting too easy just move further away from town towards harder/higher mobs.

Should I just be grinding or mining at first? I went up to the Crag fields and HOLY CHIT...thas a lotta miners there >,<

Thx for the help guys. And I tried PMing some of ya'll but I guess you are afk mining..hehe. No more farming for adena? This is an interesting alternative.

the equipments are cheap to buy, and have level restrict. when you got the level requirement, basicly you will have enough to buy the weapon and a set of armor

You should mine. To mine save up about 14k then go to the miner seller. To get to the seller follow my instructions.

1. Go to the entrance and face the city.
2. Walk to the first portal still facing the far palace at the back of the city.
3. Turn RIGHT 90 degrees til you face one of those ramps leading to the courtyard selling area. Walk straight into the courtyard til you reach the square pond.
4. Turn LEFT 90 degrees til you face a ramp going out of the courtyard a different way.
5. Go up that ramp and you will be in a new courtyard.
6. Now look around for a vendor standing in front of machines with a gasmask on.
7. Congratulations you just found the miner seller! :y:
8. Now buy from him, the mine machine and a drill part (looks like a rod or as simon said, a ______)
9. Now go back to the entrace and face the city. Walk to the first portal and enter it. You will see a bunch of options come up. Select the 2nd option.
