Free Counterstrike? - RFBase.com - RF Online

i just got into counterstrike wen i play it on my freinds xbox. so i went around searchn for it on pc for free. and i see that u can do it but it seems very confusing and complicated(tried it like 3 times to do it but it never worked). could somebody giv me directions on how to do it, and if possible id like to play CS source.

The latest versions of CS and CS:Source are both run off the steam content engine, which means getting it for free is pretty much impossible.

Installing CS 1.5 is not hard:
you install half life
update half life to 1.1.1.0
install csv15.exe (counterstrike installer)

CD key generators have been available for that for a long time and no I wont link to any of that stuff here.

Anyway with 1.5 you cant play online anyway, so unles you happen to live with a lot of friends, trying to get CS for free is useless. Prepare to pay.

i found a site that u pay 26 buks for the cd key of source and then they let u download it so u dont have to get the halflife 2 pack which can cost like 90 buks.

There is a cracked version of steam you can download with all the games unlocked (including the beta of DoD:S) but it's kinda private and i'm not allowed to redistribute. It will be released to the public soon though, and it really is quite cool.

Not permitted. But as i said, there is a public version being released soon. There is also various other programs that do the same thing, but they are hard to find and i do not have any of them.

Please, no posts linking to, or how you could obtain such programs. We at RFbase are highly against Warez or anything against what products TOS.

If it violates the law, it doesn't go anywhere on this site.

Dont worry Simon, i wasn't going to link to anything or give him any tips as to how to aquire the program. I was simply alerting him to the existance of such programs.
