------========Crafting Guide by Masterchief=========---------

Requirements:
You obviously need to be a specialist.

1. Pick up a crafting tool for what you want to craft.
There are three different crafting tools. Ammo, Armor, and Weapon.
You can buy these from your local Sundries.

They pretty much look like this:

Use a crafting item of your choice, you bring up a menu which will let you craft what you wish:

The materials listed in the Main and Sub boxes are the required materials to craft an item. 3. Click "Produce" to make the item.
Success will be indicted by this in your system messages:

The first line tells you how much PT you have gained from the craft.
The second line tells you what you crafted and which bag+slot it was inserted in.
As a reminder, in RF online, crafting successfully depends on your crafting level. To craft successfully, you must level your crafting higher then what you can craft.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How the PT grind for crafting works

Alright, this brings up the question, "Why do i even NEED to level up a specialist? They are SOOO gimped!"

Good question, reason is this, because the higher your level, the more pt you gain per craft. This also allows you to gain the PT boost from simply job changing.
I speculate that every 10 levels, you get 1 more PT per craft.
So....
1-9 = 1 PT
10-19= 2 PT
20-29= 3 PT
30-39= 4 PT
40-49= 5 PT
50 = 6 PT
This is my speculation from lower level patterns.

"Ok fine, i need to level it, what about closs classing? i heard specialist cant use teir 2"
Well, if you cross class, you miss out on alot crafting PT bonuses.
Those bonuses can help you save millions on materials.

Specialist are also the only job that can Ressurect people on the field, which makes them useful. (I know, spiritualist can res, but you have to get 99 PT in all teirs, which is not practical to get.)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ore Types and uses

Ok you must be wondering, what all those different types of ores are for.
Well, they're for....crafting...
This applies to Weapon and Armor crafting.
The Ore Refiner locations below:

The Ore refiner will refine any ores you have mined with AFK.
In return, you will recieve refined ores. Different colors are used for different crafts.
These are listed below.
BLUE ORE - Fetalium, Cotalrio, Crotalian, Baytalrous
---> To craft Leg armors.
GREEN ORE - Haitalium, Metalrio, Setalian, Dutalrous
--->To craft Bows+Crossbows and Gloves.
RED ORE - Lutalium, Lotalrio, Motalian, Niotalrous
--->To craft guns and helmets.
BLACK ORE - Firstalium, Newtalian, Utalrio, Protalrous
--->To craft ALL melee weapons (swords, knives, maces, axes, spears) and Shoes.
YELLOW ORE - Ostalium, Iritalrio, Tutalian, Teitalrous
--->To craft Shields and Body armors.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Efficent Ways to level craft PTs.

Keep in mind that when you craft, the item you craft does not affect how much PT you will obtain from the craft. The PT you obtain is constant through every item depending on your level.
With this in mind, always craft the lowest item that you can craft and still obtain PT, so you can keep the cost as low as possible.

Weapon - The easiest way to level weapon PT is by obtaining yellow ore and crafting shields. Shield use the least amount of materials and is very efficent.

Armor - In my opinion, this is the hardest PT to grind. Armors require a large amount of materials you must obtain from other players. Boots are by the far the cheapest materials to grind, they use the least amounts of materials.

Ammo - Ammo is the easiest PT to grind. Ammo grinding only uses materials from the Sundries to level, so you do not need to run around obtaining drop only materials. Buying stacks of Mika and crafting the lowest ammo can level your ammo crafting all he way to 99.

================================================== =====

This is the end of my guide, i hope you found this useful so you can become a great crafter of whatever race you belong to.

what are the ratios of Success and failure in crafting? I find crafting in this game easy since they give you the needed ingredients to make a certain item. As well i heard later on in lvl you will need 2 ores of different colors to make an item as well.

success and failures are dependant on your crafting level...
like...it's never a good idea to craft Lv31 armor is that's only the highest armor you can craft. Wait till you can craft Lv33 or Lv35 armor before you try.

And yes, almost all higher level weapons and armors need refined ores...which makes this very expensive...

lists of items

Part 1 of 2:

I have taken screenshots of the items I have acquired and trying to get the best idea of what all there is to offer. It also helps figure out what I need to save when money gets short and I need to sell. Plus I am running with a group so I need to keep up with their demands and upgrades.

I hope what I have can help and if you have any suggestions on what I may be missing please let me know. If Im wasting my time and all this is elsewhere I would definitetly want to know. Im also a stickler for making lists (always in Excel) for games I play. I list equipment, mobs, items, etc on each page with info I always seem to be needing. I make my own for instance my group wants to go fight something, so I pull up my list, alpha by level and see where I have them noted and go fight. During crafting I know exactly what I can make next "for what items I already have in my inventory". That helps a bunch, just because its cheaper to maybe use one type of booty doesnt mean going out to farm all day for a stack of it isnt easier just to use what I may have in the bank immediately for a couple points.

1. Booty-this is something I made to help me ingame so I dont have to keep going to the desktop:

2. Craft items needed-I take 2 screenshots of each item to craft and configure them like this so I know what it takes to make what and the specific name. I then type it into my list in Excel but its time consuming:

3. Ore-This shows an old bank slot where I try to keep a least one full stack of each for my groups crafting demands:

4. Ore-this is another reference sheet for when Im ingame and helps me decide what I need to mine and process next:

*only 4 pix per post so the rest is in the next one...
