Cora Spiritualist Guide

-----------------------------------------------------------

When you first start out as a cora spiritualist you will start out at the advantage of having greater FP, however, like in most mmoprgs, mages are disadvantaged with having low HP, it is the same for RF. There are no special skills for 1st classes in RF. So the main objective for cora spiritualists is to level up using their magic and get to level 30. There aren't any status points in RF, so what you use will be what you level. So for cora spiritualists, you have to ask not "what should i level?" but "do i want to level this or whether i should level this". However, for cora spiritualists, the main stats that are important are Magic PT and Defense PT. They are probably the only two PT (besides your skills PT) that you need to worry about. Magic pt to increase magic attack damage and to use greater weapons and defense pt to have higher HP, something spiritualists really lack.

Getting Started: Cora Spiritualist LV1-30
When you start RF, you are given 4 magic orbs to choose from (fire, wind, water and earth) from which you can choose 2 for free. But you can always purchase magic orbs from the shops later (you will find that there is also 1 more element - dark magic). Mages are one of the more expensive classes to play. you need to purchase magic.. equipment, potions, bags.. etc etc costs that can total up to $200,000 -__- so first go out of the city HQ (i suggest you head north) and kill some monsters (kill the rabbits - flems. i'm gonna avoid using monster names because CM might chnage them later) until you have around $15,000 and then go and buy a mining machine thing >__> and batteries and go to the Crag Mine Field and mine until you have around $110,000 (you can sell the ores you get from mining for money - f.y.i. not recommended at later game, but early on you need the money right xD?) then you can go and buy some magic. Buy the 2 other elements of magic that you don't have and the FP conversion magic skill. The other magic skills you can leave for now.. and just go speed level. But if you want to do it the 'right' way. Buy all the dark magic spells and make sure you use them on yourself at all times (because they are buffs and have a duration time its harder for you to level your dark magic PT, so better start early - note to those who don't already know what i'm talking about - PT is the equivalent of stat points that you would find in other mmorpgs - there are different PT for each aspect of your character, defense, magic attack, etc etc. and magic has a seperate PT category for each element: wind, fire, earth, water and dark magic). You should get 1 type of each element of magic because there is a lag time between each casting.

For example: if i first cast fire, following my cast, there will be a few seconds in which i cannot use any fire skill that is 1st tier (you can use a 2nd tier spell during this time. i.e. Fire 1st tier skill immediately followed by a 2nd tier fire skill) so you should get 1 of each element to be able to cast non-stop (you can kinda do it with 3 elements.. but you have magic PT to train for each element! so might as well).

Why must i train my magic PT for each element? why not just focus on one and get it really high? well you need 30/30PT for an element in order to use its 2nd tier magic, that's why. But if you decide that you don't want to ever use 2nd tier earth magic or something, then you don't need to level your earth spells.

After you reach around lv3-4 (which won't take long) then go on and hit the yellow bugs. the quests that you get after every level will give you a 'very very vague' guideline of what you should be able to kill. You can take on harder monsters if you're bored, just put on some warrior armour (which should give you extra defense) and bring some pots. Around level 5-6 you should be attacking the tiger/cat like brown things. dont forget that you can get better equipment every few levels or so. The quests sometimes provide you with new weaponry and armour that you can use instead of buying it from the shop. Also if you get A level weapons (their names are often written in yellow text or purple text - those weapons will provide extra stats for your character if equipped, so you may want to keep them). After level 6, progress into the woods and begin to hit the red dinosaurs and later kill the grey cats (the advanced version of the brown cats) until you are around lv11 then you can go to the beach and kill the..'advanced version of the dinosaurs'.

After lv13 you can no longer wear the warrior armour (unless you've trained your warrior PT and met the requirements of the armour. which is up to you, if you want to level your warrior PT as well, then that's fine. But not doing so will save you some time. - you should also try to level up your PT until it reaches the PT cap at every level, because leveling PT just gets harder and harder as you level up). I suggest you focus on your magic PT (which is out of 99 so dont' bother trying to max it so fast o_o) and defense PT (it will help you increase your HP). or you can power level and get to lv30 to get your summon quickly. As for lv13+ please refer to the generalized leveling guides posted on the forums! and make sure you keep your buffs ON AT ALL TIMES!

Cora Caster
let me finish summoners first

Cora Summoners
After job change at level 30, Cora spiritualists can change to either Summoner and have summons to aid them in battle or become a caster, which have high magic power and greater defense. However all classes can inter-job change (ie. players that start out as warrior can job change to summoners at level 30). If you do decide to inter-change between classes, you will be granted access to both 2nd tier skills of your original class + 2nd tier magic + you get to use a summon.

However, there is a down side to inter-class changing. When classes interchange, there is a status penalty. The thing with RF, is that there are no set amount of status points (more commonly referred to as PT in RF), but what gives the game structure is the cap level for each status (Melee, Ranger, Magic, etc - ie. the higher your melee PT, the greater your melee attack). If you inter-change warrior to summoner, for example, your PT will be lower than that of a spiritualist that changes to a summoner (the normal way). Take Defense PT for example, defense pt adds HP, so the greater amount of defense PT you have, the higher your HP will be. As level increases from lv30 (job change to summoner), the warrior summoner's HP begins to decrease as the penalty kicks in. The defense PT is lower than that of the summoner and the caster, thus the caster and summon has potentially higher HP than that of the warrior summon in the long run, with a difference of 300-600 in HP. (this effect is now multiplied with the introduction of the HP Bonus).

Summons
No matter what class you start out as (warrior, specialist, ranger or spiritualist), you must reach lv30 and job change to get a summon. Upon doing so, you have the choice of a lv20 summon out of 3 summons (paimon, hectate and inanna). You can buy the other 2 at the shop but they will be level 1, not level 20.

If your summon gets killed in battle, or if you retract it by yourself, you can always re-cast it, but you have to wait until the 30sec delay is over and your summon has to be over 30% HP, other wise it wont cast o_o".. by leaving it uncasted it will regen HP by itself.
For example if you have a lv44 Inanna, its HP is around 18000 if it dies, it must have regened up to 5430 HP in order for you to recast it.

Inanna
Inanna is a healer-type summon and it is probably the most crucial/useful summon for leveling (isis is pretty rigged too, but you have to be high level to use it). It levels by healing you, regardless of how much the healing amount is, it will always give the same amount of exp. As long as your HP bar is not full, it will keep healing you until it is full. So you can (sort of) wave bye to HP potions.

Leveling method A: simple, equip your staff and use it to attack a monster (not with magic, but physical smacks with your staff) then the monster will keep attacking your and Inanna will keep heal you until it runs out of HP. Then kill the monster and let Inanna regen then when its HP bar is full spawn it and repeat the process. So you can wait for it to run out of HP and watch tv or something.

Leveling method B: Cora has a skill that converts HP in to FP. So by loosing HP, you can get Inanna to heal you. So just keep spamming that skill until Inanna's HP is 0 then wait for it to regen and repeat the process. But if your FP gauge is full, then you can't use the skill on yourself. So the second best thing is to go to the crag mine field and use the skill on AFKing miners.

EXP Chart for Inanna

Hectate and Paimon
Hectate and Paimon are two attack based summons with the same amount of defense, attack, HP and HP recovery. The only difference between them is that Paimon is more of a melee, close ranged type attacker, where as Hectate is a ranged attacker. Unlike Inanna, these summons level up by attacking. Each hit gives them exp (before giga3 update, they could gain exp even if they missed, but now -__- its a bit harder, but it only gets retarded after around.. lv35).

Leveling Method A: Just go out and make it attack any random monster. But if you make it attack a level 40 monster, it will gain more exp than if it attacked a level 10 monster. Since the summon's HP will kinda low in the start, i suggest (if you have trained your warrior PT -ok sure- then equip warrior equipment, then) you tank for it.

Leveling Method B: (im not sure if this still applies): every time you recast your summon, it will reset its HP, Attack and so fourth. But if you dont recast it, then it will have the same stats as the last time you casted it out. In otherwords, if you get a lv1 summon and can level it without dying, then you can level it to about lv20 and then go to a high level area with lv35-40 monsters and 'fish' (where you stand above a cliff and send your animus to attack the monsters below). Because it has the lv1 stats, it can't hit the high level monster. However, before giga3, even if your animus misses, it will still get exp (you may want to check this, because different servers differ -__-"). This way you can just spend 1 afternoon and get your animus to lv35+

Leveling Method C: team up with another player from another race and use your summon on them, they can get defense/shield PT at the same time!
